The Approach

From where I come, I know that it might not be easy opening up to somebody new. But I believe that talking about it in a safe space can help and that’s what my approach is all about.
I offer a space of trust and authenticity where every part of you is held with respect. I believe that this encourages one to express freely and process their emotions in this non-judgemental environment.
Signing up for therapy can sometimes be an overwhelming experience. Sometimes, therapy involves talking about thoughts, feelings and experiences that have been painful. Because of this, the emotional risks include experiencing uncomfortable feelings and helplessness. However, most people who take this emotional risk, find that therapy is very helpful for them. Therapy has also been shown to have several benefits such as a significant reduction of feelings of distress, better relationships and the resolution of the specific issue that one has come with.

To support individuals going through emotional instability, confusion, postpartum depression, relationship concerns, Consonance offers:

The Process:

  • Knock-Knock!
    I understand that this might be the hardest step but once you call/sms/whatsapp/email me, I will be there with you every step of the way.

  • Individual Counselling/Psychotherapy Session
    A successful counselling/therapy is based on a good match between the therapist and the client. At the end of 2-3 sessions, you will get an idea of what the process might feel like and you and the therapist can mutually decide how to take it forward.

  • Duration of Sessions
    Typically the sessions are 60 minutes long and couples sessions/parenting support therapy sessions are about 60-90 minutes long.

  • Confidentiality
    The information shared by you during any session will be kept confidential and held with utmost respect, sensitivity and honor. Confidentiality may be broken only in cases where there appears to be a high-risk of self-harm or harm to others.

  • Cancellation Policy
    Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours of notice are fully chargeable. As, I keep in mind that another client in need is deprived of a well-deserved slot. Sessions cancelled before 24 hours of notice are not charged.

Systemic Family Constellation - Group Therapy Workshop

Many of us take on disruptive family patterns, illness, depression, stress etc, unconsciously as a way of belonging in the family. Family constellation is a group process that enables us to break and clear these unhealthy patterns, which keeps us rooted in suffering. Constellation work is a transgenerational healing process and has the power to shift generations of suffering and unhappiness, so that we can live a healthier, happier and fulfilled life.

Queer Affirmative Program

Our queer affirmative program focuses on validating and advocating for the needs of sexual and gender minority clients, and addresses the negative influences that homophobia, transphobia, and heterosexism have on the community. The program will include

  • Workshops to understand diversity of sexuality and being queer affirmative

  • Workshops on sexual and reproductive health

  • Workshops on understanding the dynamics of Child Sexual Abuse, it’s prevention and our role and responsibilities as adults
